Had an incredible time. Service was impeccable. I was seated immediately and greeted by a lovely bartender named Harry. Food service was prompt and brought hot, delicious food. I would recommend the Southern Fried Chicken Tenders, they were life altering. Ambiance is incredible as well. Prepare to be immersed in Irish culture and cuisine. Drinks are phenomenal - ask for Harry - he's the best. Have an Irish car bomb for me!

Had lunch on a cold Saturday with a large group. Our waitress did a great job of getting our orders straight and getting our food out at the same time. I had the fish and chips and the fish came out perfectly. I really enjoyed the pub chips. My husband had the hamburger and loved it. I'm kind of wary about ordering a salad in a pub, but my friends' salads looked great! Portion sizes were ample but not overwhelming. It was a good lunch. I'd like to come back when the weather is nice and sit out on the patio.

I have been here many times for nights out with friends. The outdoor patio is one of my favorites in Soulard. This specific instance was for a friend's birthday. A reservation was made in advance for a party of 15 people. Our server was attentive. The food here is bar food with a few Irish dishes. Typical, nothing bad but nothing overly great. I know my friends love the chicken tenders with ranch. The food and drinks are fairly priced. The atmosphere is the best thing about this business. I always find myself coming back here for nights in Soulard. PSA: the nighttime crowd demographic is lower twenties.

McGurks has one of the best patios in STL whether you're looking to have a meal or go out at night. I love their homemade chips with a side of ranch for a little afternoon snack. The servers we've had have always been super sweet and attentive. For it being such a big place, it is really well ran!

Love love love this place! Such great staff, generous portions and an adorably decorated (feels like you are transported outside of the city) courtyard. Ample seating and great food. If I lived in the area, it would be my go-to spot for catching up with friends or work events!

Just what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Food was decent, no wait time on a Saturday dinner time. Music was a little loud (hard to have a convo), but very enjoyable to listen to live Irish music! We were originally seated next to a large dinner party but the waitress was kind when we asked to switch to sit where the live music was.

Ohhhh that patio truly one of the best in the city. Enjoyed a few cocktails and a wonderful Reuben sandwich. Service was attentive even on a packed and beautiful end of summer afternoon. Family, friends, or solo it's a great spot!

Great place. We sat inside and had an Espresso Martini, Guinness and some other cocktails. Dan was great and attentive. This place is wonderful and so neat. Irish decor and true Irish spirit within the walls! We then came outside to see the patio and WOW. Now I see what everyone was talking about in their reviews! Sooo pretty! We then ordered some apps: pretzels, toasted beef ravioli, and the white bean hummus. So good. The hummus- yummy. We saw so much great looking food from others and so many commented about how great their food was when I asked. I forgot to take pictures before we devoured our food--oops! What a great place to get drinks on a patio, or inside for the true Irish pub vibe. What a gem in STL. We will have to come back when we're in town again!

Really nice local neighborhood place with solid service, drink options and food. A local friend pointed in the direction of McGurks and we all ended up loving it. The place was somewhat busy in a couple of the rooms/areas, but as we had a decent sized group we ended up back in one of the other rooms mostly by ourselves. The server was around often enough and took good care of us. I ended up with a chicken sandwich and a couple sides. the potato casserole (or something similar) was incredible.. the sandwich was also awesome. It was raining outside but we took a look at the outdoor area and it looked like a great spot to hang out on a nice day.

I think it would be difficult for you to find someone that doesn't say that McGurk's has one of the best patios in STL. It truly is a gem and if you haven't been to eat, drink, and socialize on it- you're missing out! There's something about the warm spring air that makes you want to seek out McGurks- it's like it's calling your name. We answered on an early May Sunday afternoon and it was exactly what wanted! McGurks gets busy, but it's definitely worth the wait. We were lucky to be seated early and ordered some drinks. We posted a couple appetizers- one of them being my fav: spinach artichoke dip. It comes with fried pita chips which are SO good. One of the reasons we ordered the dish. The dip was creamy and complimented the pita chips really well. I was definitely in the mood for some chicken tenders. They hand bread theirs (or at least that's what it tastes like), and they are super crispy and delicious. Probably some of the best I've had. They don't have fries, but they do have their famous pub chips which are nice and crispy.
